Does Listing affect the grounds of a building?
Yes. Any object or structure within the curtilage of the Listed Building is also affected by the Listing. Examples include features such as walls, outbuildings and means of enclosure. This also relates to objects or structures which, although not fixed to the building, form part of the land and have done so since before 1 July 1948. Boundary walls are protected by the Listed Building.
