Does LinuxLink include any help for using the PREEMPT_RT real-time patch on my board?
Timesys has been a long-time market leader in the real-time Linux market. In addition to pioneering many of the techniques in the PREEMPT_RT patchset back on a 2.4 Linux kernel, and contributing code that has been mainlined into the 2.6 kernel tree, we have worked with customers to apply and configured the PREEMPT_RT patch on a number of different platforms, as follows: – Atmel SAM9: 2.6.24 kernel – Freescale MPC8641: 2.6.26 kernel – Intel IXP425: 2.6.18 kernel The LinuxLink subscription does absolutely include code, help, tips, advice, and guidance to customers who wish to apply and enable the PREEMPT_RT patch on their platforms. Keep in mind that this does not mean we will do the work for you, but rather that our subscribers can lean on us for our expertise, best practices, lessons learned, etc.
