Does lightning strike marine animals..?

0

Yes, lightning may strike every object on the earth. Marine animals are struck with lightning very often. Although pure water does not conduct electricity, sea water which has tonnes of ionic salts, becomes an excellent conductor of electricity. Same is the case with rivers, but are comparitively less dangerous. Moreover, the lightning current is so strong that, even pure water conducts it easily.
