Does LGS function like a business group in Alcatel-Lucent?
We function more like a sales channel for all Alcatel-Lucent products and services — and the sole channel to the U.S. federal government. We work with each business group to figure out how to sell their solutions to government customers. How does LGS report into Alcatel-Lucent and fit into the organizational structure? Since LGS is run as a separate subsidiary I report to an independent board of directors, with a majority of outside members. I am also a part of Pat Russo’s extended leadership team and have ongoing dialog with the business unit heads and Cindy Christy (President of North America) as necessary. Do we count LGS sales as part of our North America revenue and results? Absolutely, LGS sales are counted as a part of the North American contribution to Alcatel-Lucent.
