It will lighten your hair but it usually is more of a reddish orange color because most hair has a red base.

Yes. I used lemon juice in my hair last summer and it lightened certain spots in my hair. It looked natural and very nice. I don’t recommend it if you’re looking for a big change, however. It works rather slowly. And you should add a lot and be in the sun for a long time. But, I was happy with the results. I also used some sun in stuff, after that, and it worked very nicely. =] Good Luck!
