Does lemon juice do the same job as alpha hydroxy acid.?
Lemon juice is a citric acid and belongs to the group of Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) that slough off dead skin, promote elasticity of the skin, and encourage new skin cell growth. Lemon juice is one of few home remedies for acne that also works for scars. From my own experience, using lemon juice helped my scars disappear quickly and controlled my moderate acne. If you have dry skin do not use it! But if not try it, It does the same job as the peel maybe the results are not that fast but after about 2 weeks you will see improvements! Good Luck!
