Does learning a second language improve IQ?

0

IQ is more of a measurement of capability i.e. like the speed of your computer. This means that given a high IQ and a low IQ, both can learn the same things but a higher IQ will learn quicker and maybe able to grasp advanced concepts easier. Learning a second language will not change your IQ. Learning a second language is a good thing, especially if it’s done at a younger age i.e. 2 to 8, or so. This helps the child later in general learning and in learning other languages as well. Not sure what psychological benefits you receive at later ages other than keeping your mind active and learning.
