Does Las Vegas have an upper class?
There is definitely a very wealthy upper class in Las Vegas, and they seem to like throwing charity benefit balls and getting pictures of themselves put in all of the magazines. They live in mega-estates out along the fringes of the Valley – quite a few of them also have units at high-rise condo complexes near the Strip, where they stay on nights they have functions to attend. But many of them made their money elsewhere, and moved to Las Vegas to avoid the high taxes in California and New York.
