Does Lamictal cause forgetfulness?
Yes. It did a great deal of that for me. The forgetfulness and hair loss were the reasons I decided to discontinue the medicine. After a month of stopping, the people around me were commenting on how much better I seemed, and I enjoyed things like sudoku and reading again. During my time on it, I was trying to be a partner in a small business that was just starting and would have my husband check all my work for me at the end of the day. Somewhat demoralizing 🙁 And looking back now on the year and a half that I took it, I have very dulled memories of that period of time. I would have you consider your situation and what you are treating it with and decide if it’s worth it. Talk to your doctor about it. After that my doc and I decided it wasn’t worth it. I’m much happier off it. I took it to smooth out mood swings from ADHD. But every situation varies. Good luck!
