Does kyokushin karate have grappling?

When we include grappling it includes strikes. For us, staying on our feet is the big deal so we will train a bit in grappling as a means to stay on our feet (So I’d put it closer to takedown than grappling).. That will always include strikes up close, joint locks and strikes, soft spots, all that good stuff. We’ll do some holds (e.g. armbars while standing is often used) and throws are more common since again, we want to stay on our feet so sending the opponent off of his if possible works great. We don’t do chokes, ground rolling, or wrestling because they just don’t fit in with our style and how we fight. We fight standing up. Hope this helped.
