Does Kinsey have retirement plans after Z?
Grafton: I’ll let her decide the answer to that. As I’ve said on other occasions, I don’t tell her…she tells me. Gumshoe: Do you ever get the urge to start writing about someone other than Kinsey? Grafton: I just wrote a non-Kinsey Millhone short story and that was great fun. I’m hoping she won’t find out. She’s a jealous little thing. Gumshoe: Now that you and Kinsey have been together for a while, has she surprised you in who she’s become? Grafton: Her R us. I think of us as one soul in two bodies and she got the good one.She gets to eat all the junk food. Gumshoe: How has she grown over the series? Are you comfortable with her? Grafton: I can’t speak to the issue of whether or not Kinsey has grown. I don’t analyze her behavior and I hope she doesn’t analyze mine.
