Does King County pay for gym memberships for its employees, retirees, and/or dependents?
No. Employees, retirees, and dependents must pay the entire cost of gym membership. The program is strictly voluntary and is not a budgeted program that is paid for by King County. The Gym Discount Program provides a means for all participants to develop healthy lifestyles by exercising and moving more at a gym of choice.
