Does Kenya have a witness protection program?
In 2006 Parliament passed the Witness Protection Act which provides elaborate protection for witnesses in judicial and quasi judicial proceedings or people who have given or agreed to give evidence on the commission or possible commission of an offence in Kenya. A Witness Protection Unit has been established under the Attorney Generals Office to implement the Witness Protection Program.
