Does Kehler Properties allow repainting, wallpaper borders, changing of lighting, or other personalization of the rental property?
Generally we don’t. In some instances, with prior approval and installation supervision, we may allow significant upgrades such as ceiling fans or permanently installed air conditioners, however, these become permanent fixtures of the rental unit if you vacate. We present most of our units in good condition. Walls are painted with antique white satin finish washable paint, while ceilings are usually painted with white satin paint. The woodwork is usually either oak, cherry, walnut stained pine, or painted with white semi-gloss paint. The decors we have chosen blends with almost all furniture. We believe that customization to your personal taste should be reserved for your own property. We do permit and encourage flowers to be planted outside of homes.
