The VeCM/ Wireless IAD is a low-power device, so it consumes very little electricity. Typical power consumption is below 10 watts. It is approximately the same as operating a cordless phone. Based on the latest (4Q 2008) electric power tariffs, the monthly cost of running a VeCM / Wireless IAD is less than $2 per month (based on running it 24hrs x 7days) . It should be noted that the VeCM provides both broadband and voice services.
