MS Windows: Yes. MacOS X: Yes. MacOS 9: Yes. They even work on MacOS 9 even though the MacOS 9 Finder cannot display them properly, but they still work just fine in KDX. Exception: If your hard disk is formatted in the old “MacOS Standard” (HFS) format, long names will fail. You should be using the new “MacOS Extended” (HFS+) format, which also has other advantages such as less wasted space.
