Does Judaism teach the ideal family life?
Firstly to BMB – careful. You carry on bashing non Orthodox Jews, and someone might be tempted to post stories about things that *do* go on behind the closed doors of one or two Orthodox communities. To the asker: I’m sure there are many faiths which teach the value of a close and happy family life. I think one of the really good things in Judaism, though, is that from the get go, Jewish children are encouraged to express their opinions and feelings and yes – to debate and even argue with their elders and betters if they are so inclined! Jewish homes tend to be extremely democratic!
