Does JRIO support opening datasets or files with shared dispositions?

0

Yes, this is new support for JRIO. Previously a disposition of OLD was the default value. Now you can share resources between application programs. Support was added to SDK 1.4 PTF level UK07860 (available October 2005). Methods for get and set disposition types for the recordfile class were added. VSAM datasets can not be opened with a shared disposition. (Note: the queue names used when shared are: SPFDSN for reads and SPFEDIT for writes.

*Sadly, we had to bring back ads too. Hopefully more targeted.
