Does JRIO support multiple code pages besides CP1047 (EBCIDIC)?

0

Yes, when WAS 5.0 was released it runs with an ISO8859-1 (ASCII) code page. JRIO code was changed to support all file encodings. JRIO handles all file and directory name conversions passed to it. However, when reading data from files (also VSAM keys), it is up to the user to do the appropriate conversions since stored file data can be in any form including binary. Be sure to be at these levels for the latest corrections for both SDK 1.3 and SDK 1.4. Support was added to SDK 1.3 PTF level UK03478 (available May 2005) and to SDK 1.4 PTF level UK00802 (available Feb. 2005). Be sure to code your system dependent strings carefully!
