Does John 14:24 imply that those who don obey Jesus commandments don love him?
I think that your question has even a logical answer. If you do not love someone you would not take heed of what he says. If you didn’t love your parents would you have obeyed the of what they asked you to do or of what they pretended from you. I think if you loved them you would do all your best not to go against their wishes. It is the same thing with Jesus. He said “he who loves me will obey His words”. Yes we should do our best to heed those commandments that you mentioned because they are His words and so they are the way to His Father and our father. Otherwise you have as god someone else or something else which are not to His likings and not good for our soul. It is you who must then make the choice.
