A. Typically, no. Because there are thousands of sites that do not charge job seekers, it’s hard to justify listing the few that do. Job Searching: Technical can’t possibly vouch for fee-based products or services it has never used, and is not in the business of reviewing same. Additionally, it is against the law in some states to charge job seekers for certain services, and it is impractical to track the particulars for each state. Sites that promote products or services such as books, software or resume services might get listed, if they also provide substantial, useful, free resources (locally, not solely in off-site links) and comply with the other guidelines in these FAQs. Sites that are initially free, but use gimmicks such as “upgrading” and “bidding” that mislead job seekers into thinking they have a better chance if they pay a fee, will not be listed.
