Does Japan have universal healthcare?

Yes. I lived in Japan and know that medical care is very inexpensive there…practically free. The waiting isn’t very long, service is good and hospitals allow people to say quite a long time. In Japan, your relatives are supposed to take care of you instead of the nurses. Your relatives change your sheets, wash them and put them back on and cook and feed you. Your relatives do many of the chores that nurses do in the states. Every hospital room includes a bed for the relatives to spend the night also. In addition, every hospital has a mall attached to it that includes clothes, books, games, and groceries. There is so much recreation for the patients to do there and in this hospital mall, there are a lot of people walking around in pajamas and slippers. It is very interesting and looks quite cozy actually. The only problem with hospitals in Japan is that the doctors seem to like to do surgery every opportunity they get. They do surgery when an American doctor would just subscribe medic
