Does Janova have oestrogenic activity?
A. Some of the herbs in Janova mimics oestrogen like activity that is responsible for overt signs of heat. The main action of Janova however is to mimic gonadotropin (FSH & LH) like action that helps in development of ova and its release. The oestrus induced by Janova administration is thus ovulatory.
