Does Jamiroquai perform any un-released material live?
Yes, Jamiroquai often covers classic funk/r&b tunes and performs modified versions of their own songs. For their most recent tour (Fall 1996 – Spring 1997), for example, they perform a vocal version of “Slipin n Slidin” (the instrumental b-side to “Cosmic Girl”). They also perform Kool and the Gang’s “Hollywood Swingin.” They have also been known to perform Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” Weldon Irvine’s “Getting Down,” Roy Ayers’ “Don’t Stop the Feeling” and “Coffy Is The Color,” Led Zeppelin’s (yes – Led Zeppelin!) “Whole Lotta Love,” Jimmy Cliff’s “The Harder They Come,” Peter Tosh’s “Legalize It,” Bobby Hebb’s “Sunny,” and the Headhunters “God Made Me Funky.” To obtain recordings of some of these tracks performed live, follow this link.
