Yes, a father, Captain Teague, played by Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones. When Johnny Depp first started playing Captain Jack Sparrow, he copied the voice of Keith Richards (a voice he does extremely well by the way) and the production company loved it so it stuck, and there was no hesitation in who they wanted to cast as the part of his father.
