Does it use more/less network resources or Internet bandwidth than a PC running Windows 95 or NT?
While the 2700 doesn’t require more or less network bandwidth than a PC for normal operation, it can handle tremendous network loads. Certainly enough to saturate a T1 line, and enough to fill a 10MBPS local area network with traffic. The efficiency of the Linux OS kernel enables us to do more tasks with less physical RAM than a PC. In regard to memory utilization, the 2700 is far more efficient than a PC.
