NO! Balaam went anyway!] Read it again. God directed Balaam to go with the princes of Moab to curse Israel in vs 20. When the men arrived the next morning, Balaam went with them exactly as God had commanded. Your assertion that the princes did not “call” Balaam borders on the ridiculous. The whole story of Balaam in the Old Testament proves that Balaam only did what god commanded of him. Thus, his negative reputation in the New Testament is still unwarranted.
