Does it require more time to complete the tests using computer-based delivery as compared to paper-based delivery?
Computer-based testing generally takes less time to complete than paper-based testing because there are no test booklets and answer sheets to manage, and there are no bubbles to fill in with a pencil. Test-takers will have the same amount of time to complete the computer-based GED Tests as is given to complete paper-based GED Tests. How will the essay work? Will students have to type their essays? What about students who are unfamiliar with computers? What about GED programs that do not have access to computers to help students prepare? Test-takers who are comfortable using computers will be invited to take the computer-based version of the tests. Test-takers will be required to type their essays and will be able to see immediate score results for all test parts except for the essay.
