The amount of math and physics required to fly an airplane is minimal—slightly more than you’d need to drive a motorcycle or a racing car or a boat, but still not very much. Employers do like to see a college degree (although it’s not mandatory by any means). The domain of the degree isn’t that important. Indeed, you might want to consider getting a degree in something that allows you to find a job in another profession in case the piloting ambition doesn’t work out.
