Does it meet relevant standards and legislation?
This is new technology. Legislation and Standards have yet to catch up, but it is expected in the future. Although this film totally degrades, it does not meet the current European Standard for degradable packaging EN 13432. By that same definition, however, a leaf cannot be called biodegradable! An updated standard is currently being worked upon which it is anticipated this technology will meet.
