Does it matter what kind of flowers get taken to a grave site?

Flowers of any kind left at a gravesite are acceptable, they are a token of your love, and a tribute left to the loved one you’ve lost, whether it’s your favourite flower or theirs. Some cemetaries do not allow flowers to be planted afterwards in order to make the caretaker’s job of mowing easier, but may be left in permanent vases affixed to the monument base. I don’t really feel any flower is unacceptable – to be left when you’ve said “farewell”.
