Does it matter what brand of cat litter i use?

In short, if you can get your cat to use a natural cat litter such as feline pine (made from pine), yesterday’s news (recycled paper pellets), sweat scoop (wheat), or world’s best cat litter (corn), that’s the way to go. I personally couldn’t tell you how well any of these brands do at combatting odor with the exception of yesterday’s news as my cat refuses to use them, but yesterday’s news (the only one I managed to get her to use) I found almost revolting in how little it did for the smell so I wouldn’t recommend it. There is some debate surrounding the safety of using clumping cat litter with cats and kittens as well as using silica-based cat litters (basically the clay-based cat litters).
