Does it matter if the drought stops us growing food in australia?
You can and will. But the decline of wildlife around the planet, coupled with a decline in arable land & rising sea levels will bring with it MUCH higher food prices & real estate prices, & potentially an army of impoverished displaced unwanted unfortunates left to slowly die in extreme poverty in detention centres – not very good. And for the rest of us it will mean that we will have to cut down on other things we can no longer afford. If only we could sue all the politicians that refused to take part in the Kyoto deal & make them pay for ALL the damages caused by global warming.
