Does it hurt getting braces?
There was a little discomfort when they put the bands around my back molars. And after they put all the braces on, the inside of my cheeks were sore for a few days (from them rubbing on the new braces). After those first 3 days or so, no pain. I had no pain when they were tightened, no pain from anything. I ate anything I wanted, and I even played the trombone, and no pain. Some people have discomfort after each adjustment, but I didn’t even have that. Once I got through my first 3 days, where the inside of my cheeks hurt, I was good to go.
