Does it help having a spouse who is also in the acting business?
I think so. It’s a very strange life that we lead, and there’s a lot of travel involved. We experience some very strange experiences, and I think it would be very hard for someone else. But also, especially with our tabloid society, I think it’s got to be so difficult if the other person isn’t used to it. It certainly does then call that much more attention. I think that if someone falls in love with someone that’s not in the business, it’s almost bigger news. And I think that has to be incredibly jarring to those people. So to have the support from someone that knows what the experiences are like…I mean, it only helps. You’re a very active advocate for various charities. How did you get involved in that? I started because my mother taught me a long time ago that even when you have nothing, there’s ways to give back. And what you get in return for that is tenfold. But it was always hard because I couldn’t do a lot. I couldn’t do much more than just donate money when I was on the show
