Does it cost money to get a cat from the shelter??
Hi Arianna, *Elaine M’s answer gives you a list of the individual costs associated with being a responsible pet/cat owner. If you totaled up her numbers it’s approximately $484.00 cost in order to take a cat to a regular vet. Her shelter charges $59.00. *Depending on your location the cost can vary, some will be higher than that amount. (A very few could be less.) *Banana Bug, also, agrees that the “fee” is going to be MUCH less than any other method of acquiring a pet. *One Awesome, also, agrees and points out the MOST people go looking for “kittens” and recommends you look at the adult cats instead. She is correct that they are less likely to be adopted next to kittens. ALL of these people have taken their time to tell you the BEST reasons for adopting from an organization that specializes in saving animals lives. If these places did not have contributions, volunteers, vets that give of their time, and assistance in the costs of supplies they would NOT be able to provide the “BARGAIN
