Labour reforms are urgently called for. Harmonious industrial relations will pave the way for economic growth and development. The top priority should be to scrap our archaic labour laws and make them more meaningful. The current over-regulatory environment does not give management the right to manage its affairs as per the needs created by market forces. This should be addressed on an urgent basis.
