The Software Update does NOT wipe everything. B) Because iTunes is downloading the update and putting it on the computer. That’s like if I asked you to play a video game and write an essay at the same time. Not switching back and forth, but actively putting 100% of your concentration into each simeltaneously. Be patient, the update will be done eventualy.
