The paper and pulp industry in Brazil is a worldwide reference point in productivity and sustainability, and International Paper, in addition to complying with the current environmental legislation in the country, has its own norms with which to protect the environment, the company, and its employees. The planted eucalyptus forests and production processes at International Paper are regulated by Inmetro, according to criteria established by the Brazilian Association of Technical Norms (ABNT) and are certified by the National Forestry Certification Program (Cerflor).
