Does intellectual property protection in the Dominican Republic conform to the TRIPS agreement?

0

The comprehensive reform of intellectual property protection in the Dominican Republic, which took place in the year 2000, has been a great achievement towards the modernization of the business legal framework in the country, and a significant step towards the fulfilment of our WTO obligations. The new laws on intellectual property (Law 20-00 of 8 May 200 on Industrial Property and Law 65-00 of 21 August 2000) conform to, and have been inspired on, the WTO agreement on Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property (TRIPS), as well as other international treaties and organizations to which the Dominican Republic belongs.
