Typically, insurance does not pay for any kind of hearing aid. However, some types of Medicare will assist with hearing aid bills. In addition there is assistance for hearing aids available to veterans. Also, the Department of Social Services sometimes contributes to health bills for low income children. Be aware, however, that these government subsidized programs are less likely to pay for the most expensive in hearing aid technology.
