Some PPO insurance companies prior to 2008 did help to pay for DRX9000 Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression. In current economic times insurance companies have unfortunately used the bad times to declare decompression as experimental and unproven. This sadly is untrue as there are various studies that have been performed by peer-reviewed journals to show the efficacy and high success outcomes for patients that are properly qualified for NSSD. This addition to the many thousands and thousands of patients that have already been treated successfully around the world. The best way to help change the insurance companies is for you, the patient, to write letters to them and request that these treatments become a covered service provided to you, the paying patient. Insurance companies would save millions of dollars each year that is spent on unnecessary spinal surgeries if patients with unresolved neck-back pain were treated with NSSD prior to becoming a surgical candidate.
