Does Inkbloom® recommend specific color inkjet printers for fabric printing?
Unfortunately, not all inkjet printers are created equal. We prefer to use pigment inkjet printers due to our experience with consistency of ink permanency on fabric. Pigment inkjet printers are also equipped to handle thicker media such as fabric, artist canvas, etc. However, results still may vary from pigment inkjet printer to printer, and dye-based inkjet printers are known to work just as well. In addition, there are products available on the market for pre/post-treatment of fabric for wash fastness of dye-based inks (see section on Printed Fabric).
