Does industrialisation improve the quality of life?
Generally, yes. But not for everyone. History shows that industrialisation does not necessarily improve life for all people involved. In the UK, for example, the industrial revolution broke up rural communities, scattered families, and herded workers into squalid urban slums. The answer to this question depends largely upon whether you think the benefits of industrialisation outweigh the costs.
