No, the term impressionism does not have anything to do with our everyday use of the word impression. Similarly, the term cubism as an art movement didn’t leave any impression in terms of the word cube. The art class teacher has better come up with some more creative questions however, to overcome his/her lazism, to not bore you guys to death.
