Does imeem always has a 30 second sample?
imeem is like youtube for music anyone can upload any piece of music, but to play music to your friends imeem has to make sure that they can legally do so. If they don’t have a deal then they only a ply a 30 second preview of the music. Some deals only license the music for use in North America, so if you’re outside this region then you’ll find more 30 second versions. imeem has deals with all the major labels – Warner, Sony/BMG, EMI and Universal – as well as deals with a number of smaller indie labels and artists. New deals are being made all the time and when a new deal is made all the music covered by the label will become a full length version. So it’s likely that over time your 30 second tracks will be revealed in their full length glory as imeem continues making deals.
