Does IID control the use of groundwater?

0

No. IID provides raw Colorado River water and has no jurisdiction over groundwater. Imperial Valley groundwater is highly saline and, for the most part, unusable. Use of groundwater is regulated by Imperial County. For more information please contact the Imperial County Planning Department at (760) 482-4236.
