Does IGERT use standing panels?
IGERT does not use standing review committees. All panels assembled based on the cluster of interdisciplinary proposals to be reviewed within them. Thus there is no simple answer to the question of “where the proposal went” for review. This has been the practice in IGERT because the all of the proposals have an interdisciplinary theme, which is not necessarily the case in other large competitions at the NSF.
