Does Hypnosis actually work?

It can, yes. I had EMDR, which some people say is a form of hypnosis (I`m not going to hypothesise about that one). The main differences being that in EMDR, it is actively worked on to be in an anxious state of mind, whereas in hypnotherapy, sessions are started with relaxation techniques. I had it because I have PTSD, and found it the ONLY thing that helped, though it did`nt “cure” me. I don`t think I could trust a hypnotherapist to do full-blown hypnotherapy. Here`s an article you might find interesting. http://www.emdr.com/q&a.
