Does hyperthyroidism affect fertility in males?
There is very little evidence to suggest problems with fertility in male hyperthyroid subjects. Nevertheless, modest but detectable abnormalities in sperm analysis can be found in young hyperthyroid male patients, predominantly changes in sperm motility, which are reversible when the hyperthyroid state is corrected.
